Fourwind Films is comprised of creative technicians who tell emotionally impactful stories that express a void in our society. We amplify lesser heard voices such as women & the Latino community by creating works such as Abuela’s Luck, Artist & the City, Prologue, and other memorable fiction & non-fiction works of art.
PIPER WERLE
Piper is a Screenwriter, Playwright, and Producer. Her short film Prologue was released with Fourwind Films. Her self-produced short Veronica was released in 2020. She has developed plays with the Actor's Studio (East), Ugly Rhino, and the 24 Hour Plays.
In addition to writing, she has a background in education and development, and has worked at the O'Brien School for the Maasai in Tanzania. Piper is a graduate of SMU's Meadows School of the Arts.
RICKY ROSARIO
Bi-lingual Dominican-American filmmaker Ricky Rosario is a Writer, Director, & Producer and has gained a multitude of production experience that spans across various commercials, films and music videos. In 2019, after screening at over 10 film festivals - Abuela’s Luck, a short film, he wrote, produced and directed, was acquired by HBO Latino and made its television debut in October 2019. Abuela’s Luck was listed as one of Remezcla’s Top 10 Short Films by US Latino Directors for 2018. Ricky is currently developing and raising money for the Abuela’s Luck feature film.
Ricky has helped produce music videos for some of the industry’s most dynamic artists out today. While also producing commercials for various corporate brands. With a dual undergrad degree in Marketing and Finance from Seton Hall University (Class of ‘11), Ricky is highly budget conscience when it comes to efficient and powerful storytelling.
MR. DAVID RUANO
Mr. David Ruano is an international photographer, filmmaker, and artist who has been captivated by composition and color to create stories and emotions. David’ work has been featured in skateboard magazines such as Wheelbase and Concrete Wave. Seamlessly, David lept from the action world of skating into narrative filmmaking. Though he has worn many hats, being a cinematographer has always been at the forefront of his passion. He has filmed over 10 short-films, and his latest projects being Vengeance Turns his first feature.
David is currently curating an Art Gallery and traveling to art shows around Los Angeles and San Francisco showing his art and poetry in a series entitled “No Typos” where he writes and frames poetry written using vintage typewriters he has collected.
Known as a renaissance man, David truly enjoys creating and producing art in all mediums . He is also fluent in English and Spanish, and loves to cook.
JUSTIN JOSEPH HALL
is an award-winning, multilingual multimedia director and founder of Fourwind Films and Quatre-Vents. His work has been acquired by major television networks such as HBO and he’s worked as a lead creative on projects that received awards at The Emmys, TriBeCa Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, and more.
Justin’s the son of two teachers from the Midwest. His smooth, melancholic juxtapositions create beauty from chaos. Due to filtering unceasingly through the history of cinema his work finds fresh space for audiences. Consequently, in spite of coming to New York City alone he continues thriving 15+ years later.
As a Director, Justin evokes emotions and spurs new thoughts through fiction and non-fiction works. Prologue (2020) & Artist & the City (2021) won many awards including three Best of Awards at the festivals. He’s currently editing his first feature Frames of Reference, a globally guided cowgirl adventure through 7 schools encountering education outlaws, immigrants, transgender studies, & kids with guns
