BETTIE PAGE IN THE MODERN AGE

Written by Piper Werle

TOPIC SUMMARY

Pleasuring a woman can be a mysterious thing, even to women! This topic is universally important to people around the world, and deserves to be explored in specific, honest and funny ways. According to lead researchers on female sexual pleasure, desire, and anxiety, 10 to 40 percent of women report having difficulty or inability to orgasm. Other recent studies show that up to 50 percent of women do not orgasm during sex. This script has had two public readings, and after each one people who grew up in conservative backgrounds and women who have never had an orgasm came up to me to tell me this story mattered deeply to them. This is why this story needs a wider audience, which is why Piper Werle is adapting the play to film.
